More and more small wine producers are popping up in Eastern Ontario. The Canadian climate limits cultures to certain varieties of grapes that can resist the cold of winter. Producers face many challenges, including late spring frosts that can kill buds and lead to major losses. To support this newly created association, La Cité tasked one of the professors of its Sommelier program with organizing a symposium where various wine production experts would come share their knowledge with wine producers, in the hopes of giving the tools to make better business decisions. The subject matter of the symposium was developed in partnership with the association in order to answer quickly and efficiently their questions relating to lasting solutions.
