The project was designed to help Mont-Laurier business Les fermes de toit JPC diversify its service offering by selling a pre-fab wood gazebo. The kit had to be affordably priced and easy to assemble without heavy machinery. The prototype was designed from a roof truss created in the spring of 2015 by Guy Grimard, Construction Techniques professor, and his student Thomas Denamur. Once the project was completed to the client’s satisfaction, the gazebo was delivered. The next steps will be to launch production. The gazebo could be available in hardware stores next summer!
